EDI for cosmetics and fragrances

The health, beauty and cosmetics industry uses EDI (electronic data interchange) to process electronic documents between suppliers and retailers, including but not limited to 850 Purchase Orders, 856 Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs), 810 Invoices. We’ll make EDI easy because we’ll do it all for you. We’ll translate your documents, print your labels (or send them to you in a file so you can print them at your end), send your advanced shipping notices so your customers know when you ship your goods, and send your invoices so you can get paid, etc. Outsourcing your EDI will allow you to focus on your core business rather than worrying about maintaining EDI systems.

Who needs EDI?

Any supplier doing business with major retailers such as Macys, Nordstrom, Wal-mart, to name a few, are required to use EDI in order to receive purchase orders, send advanced shipping notices and invoices, and to place GS1-128 labels on their shipments so the retailer knows what’s inside. Processing these type of orders require EDI systems and personnel. When you outsource your EDI to us, we will become your EDI department, we will use our systems to process each incoming and outgoing document for you, we will also create your labels.

Get rid of chargebacks in EDI for cosmetics and fragrances

Chargebacks are the worst thing that can happen to you. Imagine, you manufacture your goods, sell them to a major retailer, ship it to them, wait to get paid, etc. Then when your payment arrives you see it is 10-30% less than you expected. The reason? A chargeback for not sending ASNs on time, printing wrong data on the labels, not sending routing instructions properly, etc. Our custom, state-of-the-art systems use checks and balances to make sure these type of mistakes don’t happen. We are the only EDI provider we know of who don’t suffer greatly from chargebacks.

UCC128 (GS1-128) labels made easy

We will create your UCC-128 (GS1-128) labels for you to make sure the format is 100% in compliance with your trading partner’s requirements. Each trading partner requires different type of labels. We are experts at creating the labels of every trading partner under the sun. When labels are incorrectly done, and your trading partner is unable to scan them, they have to manually open each carton or pallet to see what’s inside. Some trading partners chargeback between $5 – $50 per carton they have to manually open and whose contents they have to count. Besides the chargebacks, if you make too many EDI mistakes your trading partner may opt to stop buying goods from you. Let Roundhouse create your labels and send the corresponding ASNs to avoid mistakes.

We can process your EDI orders for any retailer:

We are experts at EDI for every major retailer, including Macys, Walmart, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and 300 other retailers (too many to list here). We work with all retailers who require EDI for cosmetics and fragrance companies.
